DUSU Elections: Who will be crowned the Delhi University Chief? Voting begins today, see the names of the prominent candidates contesting

The great battle of student politics in Delhi University (DU) has begun. Voting for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections 2026 is underway on campus today.More than 1.5 lakh students are electing their new student representatives by pressing the EVM button.

Voting timing and security arrangements

Two separate shifts have been fixed to ensure peaceful voting on the campus.

• Morning Shift: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.

• Evening Shift: 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

There are strict security arrangements and entry without a valid ID card is strictly prohibited.

This time the main contest is considered to be triangular between ABVP, NSUI and AISA-SFI alliance. Know which faces are trying their luck for the four main posts:

Election results and vote counting

After the voting ends this evening, the EVMs will be sealed and deposited under tight security at the University Indoor Stadium (Multipurpose Hall) in the North Campus. Counting of votes will take place on September 19, after which it will be decided who will take over the reins of DU this time.
