Celebration in Chennai on the release of ‘Jana Nayakan’: Fans gathered to watch Vijay’s farewell film, drone show and fireworks in theaters.

As soon as the release of superstar and Chief Minister C. Vijay Joseph’s much awaited film ‘Jana Nayakan’ in Tamil Nadu, fans and TVK workers flocked to the theaters. The supporters who came to watch the first show of this historic farewell film had a grand celebration with fireworks, drums and cutting of the cake.

Diwali like atmosphere in cinemas, prayers in temples

Giant hoardings and posters of Vijay have been put up in major theaters across the state, including Rohini Silverscreen and Woodlands, describing him as the “power centre” of the state. Fans performed special prayers in temples for the success of the film, while this moment was made memorable by preparing drone light shows and chariot-like vehicles outside the theatres.

While on one hand the fans were very happy with the release of the film after a long wait, on the other hand they were also emotional thinking that ‘Jana Nayakan’ would be Thalapathy Vijay’s last film. The audience was enthralled with the political dialogues and message of good governance on the screen, however, reports of arbitrary ticket prices and black marketing also emerged from some places.

Shows, special screenings organized in more than 950 theaters

The film is being shown on more than 950 screens out of around 1,000 theaters in Tamil Nadu. Along with many big faces from the political and cinema world, Chief Minister Vijay himself also watched this film in a special screening organized for the officials, which is now creating new history at the box office.
