Ground Report (Special Correspondent, Lucknow): The opposition Congress party has launched a scathing political attack on the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh over the law and order and administrative system. Leaders of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee have leveled serious allegations of an atmosphere of fear and insecurity prevailing in the state. The party says that administrative failure in the state has become so severe that, let alone ordinary citizens, even ministers and public representatives of the ruling party are being forced to stage protests to get their demands met and seek justice.
Citing recent events, Congress leaders said that when the government’s own ministers and MLAs are publicly protesting, upset with the attitude of officials and the working style of the police administration, it clearly demonstrates the complete loss of government control over the system. Congress alleges that the state bureaucracy has become unbridled and there is no one to listen to the public’s problems.
“Crime and insecurity at its peak.” During a press conference in Lucknow, Congress spokespersons stated that criminal incidents against women, businesspeople, and civilians are steadily increasing in various districts of the state. Questioning the government’s claims of “zero tolerance,” the party stated that an atmosphere of fear prevails in the state and that law and order has completely collapsed. Congress demanded that the government establish administrative accountability and ensure a fear-free environment in the state.
