Lucknow. Acharya Chanakya was a great strategist, diplomat and economist of ancient India, whose principles and practical ideas are as relevant even after centuries as they were at that time. The book ‘Chanakya Niti’ written by him is also called Ethics, in which many valuable things have been told about a person’s behaviour, success, family relations, money management and politics. Acharya Chanakya believed that the success of a man’s life depends not only on his hard work but also on his daily conduct and behavior. In this context, some specific places and situations have been mentioned in Chanakya Niti, from where a person should not look back even by mistake while leaving after completing his work. According to the scriptures and the principles of Chanakya, looking back at these places can lead to entry of terrible negative energy in life and even the work being done can get spoiled. Let us know about those 3 important places.

1. While returning from cremation or funeral

According to Acharya Chanakya, whenever you go to the cremation ground or cemetery to attend the funeral of an acquaintance or relative, then after the work is over, proceed straight towards your home.

• Abode of negativity: The cremation ground is considered to be the center of grief, sorrow and negative energy in Tantra Shastra and also in practical terms.

• Reason for not turning back: Looking back while returning from there represents fascination and fear. It is believed that by doing this, the negative forces or heavy thoughts present there can get attracted towards the person and come home with him. Therefore, it is considered safest to just leave the place silently.

2. While returning after helping or donating to a needy person

Very strict and practical rules regarding donation and philanthropy have been given in Chanakya Niti. Acharya Chanakya says that if you have given any financial help to any poor or needy person, have given secret donation to someone or have given money to someone in need, then while leaving from there, you should not look back again and again.

• Symbol of ego and greed: Looking back after donating shows that you still have attachment, greed or regret about giving the money.

• Rule of best donation: In both Sanatan tradition and Chanakya Niti, the principle of ‘doing good and throwing it in the river’ has been considered the best, that is, only giving and forgetting makes one a part of real virtue.

3. While leaving the court or the house of an evil person.

Under the rules of life management, Chanakya has given strict advice to stay away from disputes and deceitful people.

• Freedom from disputes: If you are returning after resolving a legal issue, a big court case or a serious family dispute, then never look back while leaving that place. Looking back indicates that you are still mentally attached to that dispute.

• Sacrifice of the wicked: Similarly, if you are leaving the house or company of an evil, jealous, deceitful or deceitful person (Durjan), then move forward with complete ease. Chanakya says that the sooner and more strongly one leaves the company of bad people and negative situations, the more auspicious it is for man’s future and mental peace.
